Unfortunately the timing of transition to the new Association has made it impractible to organise an event for 2012. It is intended that an event will be held in the Autumn of 2012 and this may be a day event rather than just an afternoon.

Effect of WW II on Gloucestershire Communities

A local history afternoon is held each year in the autumn in Gloucester where talks are given on a local history topic of interest. There are exhibitions by local history societies and bookstalls. This year the exhibitions will focus on the impact of the War in their area and there is a prize for the best display by a society.
