Annual Regional Meeting


Each year a local history society hosts a regional meeting in the summer where, through talks and guided walks, the history of the area is explored.

The Forest of Dean Local History Society

is pleased to invite you to the County Local History Committee Regional Meeting

at Lydney Park Eastate Sunday 6 July 2008 from 2pm to 5pm

Programme

2.00 pm Welcome to Lydney Park, followed by a short talk on The Bathurst Family

2.30 pm  Choice of walks:-
a) Visit to the Roman remains
b) Visit to the woodland garden
c) Visit to the Museum

A beautifully illustrated guide to all these attractions will be on sale.

From 4 pm, tea will be served in the house and on the terrace (weather permitting)

The charge for the afternoon will be £6.00 per person

Directions: Lydney Park Gardens is situated on the A48 Gloucester-Chepstow road between Lydney and Aylburton How to get there (Map).

Parking:     Available on the Estate
