Annual Regional Meeting

Each year a local history society hosts a regional meeting in the summer where, through talks and guided walks, the history of the area is explored.

Painswick Local History Society

is pleased to invite you to the County Local History Committee Regional Meeting

at Painswick Town Hall Sunday, 13th June 2010 from 2pm to 5pm

 
Programme

1.15pm Doors open and exhibition in upper room of Town Hall.

2.00 pm Welcome and outline presentation on Painswick’s historical development.

2.30 pm  Choice of walks:-

a) The Centre of Painswick *
b) The Church and Churchyard*
c) Tibbiwell to Brookhouse Mill, Lovedays Mill, Vicarage Street***
d) Painswick’s Places of Worship – Parish Church, Catholic Church, United Reform and Friends Meeting House, plus former chapels**

*** Strenuous (stout footwear advised)

4.00 pm, Afternoon Tea – Lower room, Town Hall. A further opportunity to view the exhibition.

The charge for the afternoon will be £6.00 per person

Parking:     Stamages Lane car park. (There are some parking spaces in front of the Town Hall but no guarantee that they will be available). Map
